Advanced Placement ( AP ) is the name given to courses designed by university

professors and high school teachers. They parallel the same courses
taught in first year university.

AP courses are administered by the American College Board
and are taught in over 13,000 schools worldwide.Experienced AP teachers
and university professors grade the AP exams according to rigorous university standards.
The result is that AP credits may have an inherent advantage
for many high school students seeking admission to Canadian,
American and other international universities.
